Five Star Job!

We had a terrific experience with Dan and his team. Very communicative and knowledgeable. Helped us with options up front and then made sure to deliver as expected. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again in the future.

Pilot light issues? Worn or damaged gas logs? Low efficiency from your gas fireplace? We’re here to help with it all.

Our Gas Inspection Checklist

In a gas fireplace inspection and cleaning, we follow a detailed checklist:

  • Disassemble the unit, and remove doors, screens, and panels for thorough cleaning.
  • Clean logs and surrounding media, inspect for damage, and ensure the pilot light and gas valves are functioning correctly.
  • Check for clogs, deterioration, and ensure all components – like blowers, CO detectors, thermocouples, thermopiles, and controls – are in working order.
  • Clean both internal and external elements, including vents, to prevent dust buildup and fire hazards.
  • Reassemble the unit according to manufacturer guidelines, making notes of any potential repair or replacement needs for customer awareness.

Can Garden State Complete Gas Fireplace Repairs?

Absolutely. These are complex systems that should only be handled by a professional that is well-trained, but rest assured that we have the experience, tools, and technical knowledge to get the job done right. So, if your inspection revealed an issue that needs addressing, we’d be happy to be your one-stop shop for it all.

Do Gas Fireplaces Need Annual Servicing?

For a gas fireplace, servicing frequency depends on usage and adherence to manufacturer recommendations. At a minimum, though, it’s advised to service it annually. If you use a ventless gas fireplace excessively, more frequent servicing may be needed.

According to the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), annual professional inspection and sweeping before each burning season are recommended to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost savings by addressing issues early.
